Any of you out there fans of I’m A Celebrity?

Well, whether you are or whether you’re not, those of us that do follow the show (OK, OK, that’s a good number of us in the Parksure Park Home Insurance team!) may have picked up on something Ant said during one of the live shows.

Let’s paint a picture for you…

Ant (Anthony McPartlin) and Dec (Declan Donnelly) are apparently staying in different establishments during the filming of this series – Dec staying a lavish hotel with Ant staying in a “Static Caravan” with both of them comparing the differences with the facilities during each show.

The most recent trial contained 200 spiders which for many would be something out of a Hammer Horror movie (for me it’s snakes – shudder) and the “boys” were comparing what would happen if they indeed found any spiders in their stay of choice.   Dec seemed confident that any eight legged creature would be promptly flushed down the bidet (it’s a quality establishment) but Ant equally had no worries of spiders as he confidently declared that his Static Caravan DID have spiders but they were all gone as the rats had eaten them all!

And here’s the thing…. whether you have a Static Caravan, Holiday Lodge or Park Home, VERMIN is definitely something you should be concerned with as those little devils can AND will find a way into your properties if the British weather is not to their taste (and let’s face it, most of us would prefer a warm and cosy home instead of being outside in the wet and the cold)

All of our park home and static caravan insurance Policies (be it your second/holiday home or your main residence) includes cover for damage caused by vermin and trust me when they get in, they can do a huge amount of damage!!  This year particularly, we have seen a rise in claims for vermin damage and with us only being just on the cusp of those chilly winter months we anticipate more to follow.
